A directory built for drivers
motorwayservices.co.uk is a free, independent guide to UK service stations. We list every motorway service area in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, plus the major A-road service stations that drivers actually use.
For each service we cover the operator, fuel brand, EV charging network, on-site facilities, hotel availability, HGV provision, and how it sits relative to the nearest alternatives in either direction. The goal is simple: when you need to know what's at the next services, you can find out in two taps.
Independent and unaffiliated
This site is published by Resolute Ventures Group Ltd, a UK limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 17005310). It started with EV charging — looking up which service stations had working chargers, what speed, what network — and quickly turned into a broader project once it became clear that motorway service information across the board is patchy, out of date, or buried under ads. Live fuel prices, accurate facilities, and an honest view of what each service is actually like became the wider goal.
We are not affiliated with any motorway service operator, fuel brand, or hotel chain. We do not take payment to list, rank, or feature services. If we praise a service, it is because we think it is good. If we say a service is poor, that is what the data tells us.
Where the information comes from
Service station data is compiled from operator websites, official station information, publicly available planning and highways records, and on-the-ground research. Postcodes are operator-verified or geocoded against the Royal Mail postcode database. EV charging data is cross-referenced against operator and charging-network sources.
We refresh data regularly, but service stations change — chargers go out of service, brands swap, hotels open and close. If you spot something out of date, the fastest way to get it fixed is the "Report a correction" link on any station's page.
Honest about commercials
The site is currently free to run and free to use, with no advertising and no affiliate links. In future we may introduce display advertising or affiliate links to relevant products such as breakdown cover or dashcams. If we do, it will be clearly labelled and will never influence which services are listed, ranked, or recommended.
We will never accept payment from a service operator to feature, hide, or alter information about their services.
